June 8 - Jamie Karnik Photo Exhibit 
TIME: Sunday, June 8 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
LOCATION: House of Hungary
Jamie Karnik, a photographer from Carlsbad lived and worked a year in Hungary. During her stay she made nice pictures you can admire and even buy if you want. Admission is free, please come and enjoy her view about Hungary and Hungarians. The exhibit is open during Open House hours, 12-4 pm.

Jamie Karnik, carlsbadi fotóművész egy évig Magyarországon élt és dolgozott. A kiállítás az ottani élményeit mutatja be Magyarországról és a magyar emberekről. A fotók megtekinthetők a ház nyitvatartásának ideje alatt (12 és 4 között), a belépés ingyenes. A képeket nemcsak meg lehet csodálni, de meg is vásárolhatók. Mindenkit szívesen látunk.
June 28 - Family Day at the Mingei Museum
TIME: Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
LOCATION: Mingei Museum
Mingei International Museum is showing an exhibit from the color wood prints of Jozsef Domjan, the “Master of Color Wood Carving”, through the end of August. On this special family event on the 28th of June the Museum invites all members of the House of Hungary for a program with folk dancing, singing, painting, children activities and much more. Even our regular playhouse for kids will be held at the museum. Please come in nice Hungarian costumes, the admission is free.

SZOMBATON: A minden hónap negyedik szombatján délelõtt 10-12-ig megrendezett játszóházzal szeretnénk lehetõséget adni a San Diegoban és környékén lakó óvodás korú magyar gyerekeknek, hogy együtt játszhassanak magyar nyelvû pajtásaikkal. A játszóház célja, hogy lehetõséget nyújtson a magyar nyelv gyakorlására, megismertesse a gyerekeket magyar gyermekdalokkal, mesékkel, Magyarországon híres mesefigurákkal, körjátékokkal, csoportos játékokkal, így gazdagítva a gyermekek magyar szókincsét. A játszóházban a kicsiknek lehetõségük nyílik kézügyességük fejlesztésére is, gyurmázhatnak, festhetnek, rajzolhatnak, vághatnak, hajtogathatnak, stb. Minden érdeklõdõt szeretettel várunk!
SATURDAY: Every month on the 4th Saturday the House of Hungary offers a Playhouse for the younger children of Hungarian origin living in San Diego County to meet each other from 10am-noon every month on the 4th Saturday. The purpose of this “Kindergarten” is to provide a place for the little ones to get acquainted with the Hungarian language and enlarge their vocabulary through nursery rhymes, fairy tales and their famous figures, and child’s play. They can also improve their manual skills by using playdough, painting, drawing, cutting paper figure, making origami, etc. We are welcoming all new comers!

Every month another nationality hosts the luncheon with their own traditional food. Everyone is welcome.
